A Little Dog Called Kitti

Kitti is a small daschund cross, approximately 4 years old. She had always been anxious around people who raised their voices and around bigger or more boisterous dogs. She would cower under vehicles, furniture and not come out if she was worried about the company. She would roll on her back submissively, urinate involuntarily when greeted sometimes and appear anxious on many occasions. She came to her human family as a wee pup and there was no known history of abuse.

Kitti was given NZ First Light Flower Essence no.3 Cook Strait Groundsel for self-confidence and positive body language, no.4 Marlborough Rock Daisy for a sense of security and to overcome anxieties and fears of certain situations such as shouting, big dogs and some people, no.34 Heketara to help her with her fear of unknown things and tendency to hide, no.35 Creeping Pratia to help her with high sensitivity to her environment and the energy of others around her, no.36 Native Linen Flax to change her ‘victim’ state of being and give her direction, no.39 Shaking Brake Fern to repair and strengthen the aura where the trauma of disempowerment may have lodged, no.83 Kakabeak to bring balance and stability to her life and no.84 Kawakawa for courage, to live with regained enthusiasm and interest.

KItti responded well to the essences gradually coming out of her shell, becoming braver with the big dogs – still mindful of her small size, but the cowering and the fearful growling stopped. She did not scuttle off under objects and was keen to participate in walks and outings. She appeared more at ease and less vulnerable over a period of months, at times clearly standing up for herself so that previously pushy dogs would leave her alone.
